Hi all,

Newbie here... great website!

I won an Ebay auction and I thought it was straight forward, but...

The sales agreement reads:
- Floating week #33 Annually Deeded at Sheraton Vistana Fountains Condo.
- Unit Number: Floating number 1330
- Use Week & Season: Floating week #33 (1-52)

I guess I need clarification in:
- Since this is in Foundations, I understand all renovation/special assessements have been paid and almost complete.
- If it is Floating Unit, they can assign me any unit. Fountains only or else where too?
- If it is Floating Week 1 - 52, but has #33 listed, I can call and reserve any week. What does #33 represent?

Since it's resale and I'm not in SVN, am I at a disadvantage reserving a week during the summer?

Personally, I feel floating would best fit my family's needs as it will change as my kid(s) get older/school schedule changes. I assume floating avoids extra admin. fee at an exchange company.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Since this is a Starwood resort, I'm going to move your post to the Starwood Board. Be sure to check out all the resources at the top of the board.

And.....Congrats on your purchase!

I wouldn't assume anything - do you have that in writing? Otherwise you may have to pay the special assessment.

You should only be assigned to Fountains.
- If it is Floating Week 1 - 52, but has #33 listed, I can call and reserve any week. What does #33 represent?
All timeshares have to have a week assigned for deeding purposes and recording purposes. If this is a true floating week, that's it's only purpose.
Since it's resale and I'm not in SVN, am I at a disadvantage reserving a week during the summer?
No - resale owners have exactly the same opportunity to make a reservation at 12 mos. out - optimally at 8:59 ET.

Thanks Denise!

Thanks! You are quick.

Well, I won't be able to book anything 12 months out, if this closing goes timely, it'll be about 8 months, so I'm hopeful for late summer in Orlando.

Great website!

Great website!

Did you know you can ask the current owner to make a Resv. for you, now?

RSVP now

I was going to ask if the current owner booked that week of #33, so we can plan toward that, but if not, I will figure out a time that works well.

Thanks again.

Since week 33 is for deeding purposes only, there is no particular reason that they would have booked that week. You can ask them to make a Resv, for you in your name and they should specify with owner services that they want the Resv. to transfer (not be canceled) with transfer of ownership.
