Burned food on Corelle dish

I tried removing the black carbon residue on the casserole dish with Dawn dissolver (claims no scrubbing is needed). However, it is not getting it all off. Does anyone have any other suggestion? Thanks for your help.

I've used Comet and a plastic scrubber. Worked pretty well, but I didn't have a large area.

Maybe ceramic stove top cleaner would work. Do you know someone who has one to try a small dab to see if it works?

I have great results using dish washer liquid. Either spread it on or mix with a bit of water to cover the area and leave it on overnight.

I have also used oven cleaner left on for a few hours, even though I have a self cleaning oven, I keep a can on hand for cleaning. Great for burnt on spills for a glass top stove too.

I use either of the above methods to clean the baked on Pam type sprays.

I have not yet used this, but acccording to all that have tried it, it works:

Try Vinegar.

Vinegar has powerful cleaning properties. Try pouring enough vinegar into the Corelle to cover all the yucky burnt-on spots. Let sit -- overnight should do, or 24 hours for good measure. Let the Corelle soak outdoors to keep the vinegar smell out of your house. After a good long vinegar soak, complete the clean-up using regular dishwashing methods (e.g., gentle scrubbing with rough non-metallic scrubber & liquid kitchen detergent).

Good luck.

I have used soft scrub before to remove the carbon from my Vision ware, and hard to clean Corelle fairlysuccessfully.
