We have a plastic soap dish that closes, and we take the leftover little bars of soap and reuse them, rather than opening new ones, but I like the body wash in the showers. If I take a bath, I use the bar soap. I don't try to put the shower gel in a container to use it.

On our stay at Bonnet Creek none of the bathrooms in our PR unit had been refilled. All were low to almost out.

I, like a number of other people, sometimes have problems with scented products. The dispenser shampoo was bad enough but conditioner really did me in. The scent, although pleasant enough, lingered on even after several times of washing and conditioning my hair with my own unscented products.

I've always been able to use the small bottles with no problem. I was bummed because I was excited about using the higher end Kennth Cole products.

I'm a little surprised but checked into Mountain Vista in Branson on Sunday and they still have the old style toiletries and real bar soap. Fairfield Glade which I stayed at the night before had the bulk.

First time i've stayed at a resort in a while that didn't have the bulk toiletries.

Royal Vista and Lake Marion are using the bulk products.

Formerly: Marriott, ILX, Westin, Diamond, Worldmark. Timeshare free as of 12/24.
I hate body wash. Bar soap is now a packing essential for all timeshare stays.
Now that we are timeshare free, I had to buy my first three-pack of soap bars a few months ago. But I had to cut them in half because after all the years of mini bars, a big bar is too big!

I'm not fond of Wyndham's body wash. I do like Dove + Men body wash and found a travel-size that I refill from my "bulk" at home.

I was just at great smokies last week in a one bed suite and the unit had the bulk products in it but it also had a small bar of soap in the shower and one at the sink next to the tub. Im guessing this isn’t normal based on reading the comments but I did bring the bars home after the trip.

I did have to open the bar in the shower as the body wash ran out after just 2 pumps. The conditioner and shampoo were fine though. I don’t mind the scent and had I not been on my own I’d probably have called to get the body wash replaced.

I guess I’ll find out about the higher end stuff in the presidential units at BC in about a month.

From my experience, the resorts that have switched over to the Bulk toiletries, they put a liquid soap dispenser next to all of the bathroom sinks, and in some cases, the kitchen sink too. The one in the bathroom also has one for lotion.

So if you experienced a resort using bar soap still, I would say that is not typical. They might also just have a bunch of inventory they are trying to burn off.
