Building Recommendations Grande Vista

We will be staying at Marriott Grande Vista in a couple of weeks. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 9 and 11. We would appreciate any advise on best building(s) to request to avoid excessive walking to main activities of interest to the kids.

Grande Vista Presentation

We own at Canyon Villa and are using our AC to stay here Mar 8-15. I was wondering if we might be eligible to attend a presentation at GV and if so, how we go about doing so.

BTW, I called GV and requested newer or refurbished bldg on higher floor w/lake view. Hubby and I prefer quieter location with view so I"m hoping this is good plan.

Buildings 84 and 79 are newer and are adjacent to the newer pool. Good choices for kids that age.

And re; the Canyon Villa folks ... don't worry, you will be invited to attend a presentation!

Ask for quiet room

We just left MGV last week and requested building 79 or 84. We got 79, ground level, but it faced the lake and it is was beautiful. They told me at the front desk they had to save the upper floors for owners. But, if you request a quiet room and it is lake front you will not even notice the pool noise. It is also right next to the Copa Loca and the newer pool, so it is the most highly request spot in the resort. I would perhaps call two weeks prior and then again one week out to confirm your request. They will more then likely do their best to put you in the building you requested.

Bldg 87

We just returned from week @ GV using AC for our deposited Canyon Villa week. Per instructions from Tuggers, I called resort 2 weeks in advance to request lake-view location. When we arrived, we were advised that our request had been modified since we were staying in 1 BR and original bldg had only 2 and 3 bR. We were on top floor of bldg 87 and although the unit could probably use refurbishing, it was a great spot. We faced due west which meant not only could we view magnificent sunset, but also 9:30 PM Disney fireworks. And it was quiet which is just what we wanted. Just a short walk across parking lot led us to golf area pool, also quiet.
this was our first time using a week since becoming owners and we're thinking of purchasing another week, resale this time.

Anyone familiar with JRA Services Inc - they are offering attractive priced Vegas unit on ebay??????????????

We used JRA Services for a closing on our MGV week. No major complaints, they do actually return calls and e-mails when you contact them. This is a sign of a good TS closing company in my opinion. I wasn't aware that they were in the resale broker business though.
