Hello from the east coast. Just wanted to share an idea. Hubby and I recently were away for several weeks. Before we left I had noticed some ants around a door frame, inside. I sprayed as I thought necessary, ok fine. But on the day we left I set off 2 bug bomb sprayers, locked up and went on our way. Surprised to see a couple of crickets, about 6-7 spiders, several silverfish etc. when we got home. An added bonus. I consider us "bug free" as of today!:hi:

A great tip! I do this in general 2-3 times a year. Spiders and ants were extremely bad here in Illinois this year. I'l probably fume the whole house when we go at Thanksgiving.

We often have done this too. We are in a new home with lots of hardwood flooring and my wife is worried because in the past we experienced that some of the "bombs" left an oily kind of residue on some surfaces. Any thoughts or experiences? Any recommended brands that do not leave a residue?

Don't forget to bomb the attic, basement and garage. Lots of critters hiding there.

Hi. I used Raid concentrated units. 3 to a box, smelling better than similar products did years ago. Box cost about $8.00 for the 3. I didn't find any oily residue. I put a newspaper on the counter, set the can on that, discharged it, but first I'd covered the computer and fax with towels.
