I just confirmed a last minute July week in a 2 bedroom unit (2/6). I stayed in one of the Whitebirch units 3 years ago and enjoyed the area. There are only 2 RCI reviews (1 positive and 1 negative) but I couldn't find any other reviews specific to the Pelican Cove units. Are there any owners or exchangers that can comment on these specific units? Also, did Breezy Point recently lose their Gold Crown status?

Breezy Point Timeshare has not been Gold Crown for years. White Birch (Breezy Point Resort) has always been Gold Crown. Pelican Cove, which is managed by White Birch (did not go with Breezy Point Timeshare during the split) has not been Gold Crown for a long time.

We own two TSs, one in each resort. The area is still nice, and the amenities for Pelican Cove are decent. I can't speak for the units, as I haven't stayed in one of those yet. We have one booked for New Year's Eve, though. The in-suite saunas look nice and relaxing, and there's a view of the waterfront.

Who owns what up there is confusing.

Have fun!

My recommendation is to plan to have fun. Approach everything with the "glass is half-full" attitude. None of the Mn. timeshares are overly luxurious. But they can all be fun. July is the best time to be there, temperature-wise. You'll have fun swimming, fishing and sight-seeing.

Mn. has had a lot of rain this spring, so their mosquito population is up. Plan on buying some "deep woods off" mosquito repellent with DEET. Mosquitos are not too bad during the day but are worse in the late afternoon or evening when breezes die down.

When you're in Mn., make sure that you eat a few Walleye fish dinners. Walleye is Mn.'s state fish! It is very mild and is good.

I live in California, but I'm a native Minnesooootan. Yah sure! You becha.
