Although we usually go to Vail/Beaver Creek, we were able to trade in our silver Williamsburg (MMC) into the Marriott at Breckenridge. The trade was only made a week ago - so it doesn't hurt to keep trying. We have also used this unit to trade into a 2 bedroom Marriott in Palm Springs last April and recently into a studio at the four seasons outside of San Diego. Anyhow...

Since we haven't been in Breckenridge before I would welcome suggestions for breakfast and dinner as well as other fun activities for two active adults.

Has anyone gone to any Yoga classes in Breckenridge?

Thanks in advance
Bill

Stay there about ten years ago...

Don't remember the company names, but we went on a sleigh ride through the woods and ate dinner in a miner's cabin... that was fun! Also went dog sledding (got to drive!) and on a snow mobile ride (great experience up the mountain-- I thought places like that existed only in paintings!).

Breck is great. I have not stayed at the Marriott TS but did stay at Grand Timber Lodge. Breck doesn't have a village like Vail or BC but does have four peaks and a main street that is fantastic!!! You will have a blast.

Watch the altitude sickness by the way...Breck is at almost 10K feet elevation!!! Drink LOTS of water prior to flying in. Are you skiers/boarders?

Try this link for restaurant recommendations: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g33327-Breckenridge_Colorado.html

We like Downstairs at Erics, Bubba Gumps Shrimp Factory and Swiss Haven. Try Crown and Cold Stone for dessert.

For more info on Breck try this ski forum and do a search there: http://www.epicski.com/forum/list/21

I lived in Breckenridge for 8 months, two years ago! Mountain Valley Lodge was refurbished a year ago so the villas should be nice. They are small, only studios and one bedrooms but nice. The people at the property are extremely helpful with activities. You are located right on Maggie Pond, across from Peak 9 ski lift, and next to the village. You can walk just about anywhere. The town is very charming and lots of places to eat. The grocery store is a short drive - some of the brave even walk!

You can ski, skate, swim (yes, the pool is heated even if it is outdoors!) shop - there is a nice outlet center about 15-20 minutes away, and lots more! They may even offer yoga classes at the resort, if not there are places to take classes in town.

Definitely be aware about the altitude. I never did get used to it. Drinking water is the biggest help. It is very dry there because you are up so high.

Go online to: www.gobreck.com to find out what is coming up. You can even get discount lift tickets.

have fun! You'll love it!!

P.S. It is about a 2 hour drive from the Denver airport.
