Which would you suggest for kids....2,7,9.
Any have their own activities?
Any must sees/dos in this area?
Thanks!

The nearest ones to SDC are the ones on Indian Point, which is where SDC is located. If you would Mapquest Indian Point Road and US HWY 76, and then mapquest the addresses of each of the resorts, you will see how far they are. They are within a couple of miles:

Branson Yacht Club and all the variations of it, Stillwaters, Indian Point Resort, Lantern Bay, and Royal Aloha Vacation Club. Those are listed in the order of my preference, although the first two are equally at the top. We just went down Indian Point Road last weekend, as far as Indian Point Resort to see how their building is going, and all the resorts are still there!

Next, across 76 and a couple miles west, is Escapes at Stonebridge, an upscale residential development with the best fully-developed golf course in the area, Ledgestone.

Two resorts at the end of the strip nearest SDC are French Quarter and Cabins at Green Mountain. Both are nice, with Cabins giving you the feel of being in the woods when are really in town. A cute little resort in the development stage, not far from SDC about half-way to the dam on 265, is Stormy Point.

Also located at the end of town nearest SDC is Westgates Branson Woods, or whatever they call it now.

The best resort in the area, by far, and one of the best resorts anywhere, is Big Cedar Wilderness Club. It is the one that, when you consider all that is there and a part of it, you say Wow!

Heck, I might as well quit listing them because everything is relatively close to SDC.

The list of activities is numerous and you have between now and then to figure it out. You won't have any trouble filling a week.

Resort-wise, you have three major choices, Lake, Golf or in-town, and then we can go from there.

Which exchange company? That can make a diffence for recommendations as most do not seem to have duel affiliation in Branson.

As JLB stated, nothing is really that far from SDC and there's more to Branson than just the one amuesment park.

JLB is the resident expert, living in the area and having the opportunity to see/visit all (or at least most of) the resorts in the area. IMO, his opinion is probably the most informed about Branson on this site.

Gosh, gee, shucks.

Don't forget to bring some of the fine Hermann wine with you.

Oh yeah, you are welcome to visit Jim and Jenny's Margaritaville dock, to swim, fish, or take a ride on the BTSRN. The youngins always seem to enjoy it.
