Has anyone recently stayed at the Marriott in Branson? Recommendations please

There are really no bad areas of the resort. I like being on the top floor. We own there and it's by far the best resort we stay in Branson.

Club Wyndham Branson Meadows is truly awful in comparison to the Marriott. But where are we staying next month? Club Wyndham Branson Meadows because it's super cheap to stay there for us with our discount and upgraded rooms.

Still, I am watching for a 2 bedroom at Marriott for 5/11 and I will cancel that Wyndham in a heartbeat.

We will be in the area at the same time as you.
Maybe we can get together?
We plan on staying until June 6.
Still finalizing where we are going to stay

Maybe that can work, but we have friends with us for the entire week. This is why I wanted to show off Willow Ridge, since we own 5 weeks there.

I think your view depends on the unit type you are staying in. It appears that lock-offs face the outside of the resort including the parking. Dedicated two bedrooms face the interior of the resort including the pool area. At least that was the case in the building we were staying in. We will return this summer, and I made sure to reserve a dedicated two bedroom, so I will be able to test my theory in a few months.

We are considering going to Willow Ridge in August. Do you know what the weather is like at that time and, besides the shows, is much else to do in the area?

So much to do in Branson. There are museums, restaurants, mini-golf, water parks, Silver Dollar City, and a mountain coaster.

All good suggestions. I would add Top of the Rock golf cart tour. Also, we really like the resort's pool area. The original plans called for five buildings, but they only built three. Therefore, the facilities were designed to accommodate five buildings of guests, so it never seemed crowded to us, and we never had a problem finding a spot at the pool. Same thing with Lakeshore Reserve.

August will be hot. We went to the pool most evenings and it was very pleasant.

Also one of the best lakes, Table Rock Lake

Caves are a good escape from the summer heat if you enjoy that kind of thing. Marvel Cave at Silver Dollar City, Talking Rocks and other commercial cave tours are available in the area.

Lots of watersports available on Table Rock Lake including boat rentals. There is trout fishing on Lake Tanycomo. There are several decent hikes in the area. We went 'antiquing' in Ozark, MO (40 minutes north of Branson) on our last trip.

They now have Pink Jeep Tours (did one of those years ago in Sedona that was fun, don't have any experience with the Branson operation). Duck boat tours, Branson Belle showboat, all the tourist trap activities you can stand ... point is Branson can be pretty much whatever you want it to be ... but don't go looking for a casino.

Trout hatchery can be a fun free activity. Branson Landing is worth a visit too, downtown area is also cute.

If your a foodie
They do a lot of wine tasting and whiskey tasting dinners at Big Cedar Lodge.
Keating Center at the college has amazing Sunday brunch and great dining period, they also have an area where you can buy fresh dairy and grains etc raised by the students

Thanks everyone for all of your awesome suggestions of places to visit in Branson. Sounds like a week won't be enough time!

All of the dedicated 2 bedrooms face the interior of the resort. There are 2 lock off units in each building that face the interior, all the rest face the parking lot.

No. This video is actually 2 years old. We won’t be back in Branson until November

We are definitely going to be at the Marriott. Got a cheap exchange. 5/11-5/18.

Great videos, Doug!

Cindy
My son and I will be there at the same time as you

We will be at Westgate though
Not as classy 🤣

Branson woods is actually pretty nice and compares favorably to Willow Ridge Lodge. The original cabin style buildings were built by a timeshare comby called Grand Vista back in the 90’s. The (IMHO) ugly tower was built by Westgate. We were never assigned a tower room as an exchanger in that resort so I can’t comment to the quality of those units.

Westgate Lakes are also pretty nice units that we really like. The available amenities at Westgate Branson Lakes pales you in comparison those at the Marriott, but we don’t typically use the amenities at any resort that much so that’s never been a deal breaker for us.

We are in building 28
Newly renovated 2/2
Found it 3 years ago
Works very well for us
