Have you looked at children's re-sale shops in your area? I can't tell you the number of times I've taken in barely or never worn children's ski clothes into re-sale shops. They were then sold at about 40% of retail - somebody got a good deal! Kinda like resale timeshares!?
We usually get our son's ski clothes at an annual ski show - they have all of last years inventory at highly reduced prices. Also we have found Gart Sports to have many 30-50 percent discounts on ski jackets and bibs.
When we go out West to ski, we try to find a Gart Sports and get the items we need when we are out west. I actually could not sell my some of son's items in the consignment shops - I ended up giving it to a neighbor who has a son about 4 years younger. I of course kept his first ski outfit - it is to cute to give away!

Here in California we have a store called Play It Again Sports. It is a new/used sporting goods store that will take old sports equipment in as a trade-in. When my kids would out grow skis/snowboards and boots, etc., I would just trade them in for the bigger size. They also have a selection of new cloths that tend to be cheaper than the bigger sports stores :whoopie:
