I know the calls always pick up towards the end of the year when MF’s begin to come out, but I’m blocking 2 to 6 new numbers each day. I suspect they’re all from the same outfit since there’s a distinctive buzz when I say hello and before the call is connected to the telemarketer. I guess with inflation they’re anticipating blood in the waters with increases in MF’s so the sharks are really circling this year.

I really feel for the people who fall for these types of scammers. As they say, a fool and his money are soon to be parted.

It's gotten bad, and then add in the RCI and II ridiculous calls, and the phone is ringing all day long.

I just block everyone unless they are on our contact list. It doesn't help to block individual numbers anymore. They just spoof them and they change with every phone call they make.

I’d like to block everyone other than my contact list, but my job doesn’t allow for it. I have a blocking app with over 9.5 million numbers on it. It knocks the calls down most of the time. Fall is bad for the timeshare exit hucksters and every other year for politics.

Well after my last 2 calls... I played along and set the trap!
Hoping that burned my number off their list.

Yup, virtually every call that comes in with my area code is bogus. I do not answer any of them. Some even leave voice mail with their scam. The FCC should really do something to shut this down, but nothing happens.

I'm using the WhatsApp with my family and friends. Almost every regular phone call I get is crapola so I block them.

So I almost goofed up this week by contacting Experian to change my email. I called and couldn't get through the automation. I ended up googling how to talk to a real person and ended up on answers.com who was using the same answering automation as the real Experian. They wanted a refundable $5 to answer my question but I was on to them by then.

September is always the slowest month of the year, its impressive how things change every year in oct-nov-dec and then reach their peak in january.
