We stayed in a 1-bedroom at Elara in February and loved it. The location was convenient next to the mall, it was new and modern, and the room was extremely comfortable. We just check out of a studio at The Boulevard, booked last minute, and we were a little disappointed. The location is next to Circus Circus, away from the amenities on the southern strip. The studio was surprisingly small, and we will certainly lean towards 1-bedrooms moving forward.

My only real complaint was the mattress. It was far too fluffy for our taste, we ended up sleeping across the headboard and footing to find support. I've only ever seen this style of mattress at the Ramada Inn. I'm assuming it is higher end than that, and I know this style has its fans, but we had a completely different sleeping experience than Elara.

Do the resorts typically vary in mattress style or quality? Or is it the studios itself? We're very happy with Hilton Brand hotels, and almost always the same for Hilton Garden Inn and Double Tree.

We actually own a 2 bedroom a LV Blv, but since Hilton acquired Elara, we’ve been using our points to stay there in a 1 bedroom Grand Plus Unit.,the last time we stayed at the Blv location we booked a penthouse unit instead of our standard unit.

When we purchased, that end of the strip was undergoing a renaissance of sorts, but that was cut short by the real estate crash. Other than Resorts World opening up, not much has happened. The Sahara went under and reopened as SLS, but that resort has never really taken off. The big blue monster has stood empty and gone through many owners. It’s suppose to actually open next year. I’m not holding my breath. We were hoping MGM would demolish Circus Circus and build something new, but they sold it to Phil Ruffin and he’s refurbishing it instead. Reminds me of putting pearls on a pig.

Maybe someday they’ll get that end of the strip built up as nice as the south or miss strip. Until then we’ll keep using club booking to stay at Elara.

I've stayed at Paradise, Boulevard and Elara, and in terms of rooms, Boulevard is the worst. We stayed at Blvd twice - once in a regular Studio, once in 3 BR Plus. We were never impressed. It's pretty dated. See more here: https://tugbbs.com/forums/threads/h...as-experience-comparison-and-pictures.331230/. Boulevard has a very nice pool, and that's its selling point. And the location, away from the central strip, if someone wants it that way.

Wow, looks 100% negative from everyone with experience! If furniture can be a mix and match, I bet the mattresses are inconsistent too. My wife describes ours as smooshy and warn out, sagging with no support. We were in Vegas for two concerts, Morrissey and Aerosmith. Since the 2nd concert got cancelled, we went home a day early.

At least we've got newer resorts in Myrtle Beach and Waikiki booked, and will continue in that direction. I can't imagine anyone flying in for this, especially from abroad!

I certainly didn't think so until this thread. I thought that the mattress quality was standard across the HGVC system along with Hilton Garden Inn, Embassy Suites and Double Tree. Maybe it is my standard and certainly my expectation. I would be very disappointed if we experienced something of less quality. All of the ones which we visit certainly have the same mattress quality.
