Watched the last episode of the new season last night. This year was a winner for sure! And I found this series a few years back due to recommendations from fellow Tuggers - many thanks!

OK fellow Bosch lovers, what should I be tuning into on Amazon Prime now?

If you have never watched Psych it's a fun series. Mostly lighthearted which is nice after the heavier Bosch series.
If you like scifi the Expanse is engaging.
Marvelous Mrs Maisel is really good too.

I had a little problem this time. Several female law enforcement officers were very similar looking (shoulder length Dark hair). Several criminals in edgars operation looked the same. Add in the dark background and I was wondering who was who a lot
Here is the perfect rationale to upgrade your television and sound systems! :sneaky:

On a more useful note, I have a fairly decent television and sound system but on some programs, the dialogue gets lost in / among the background or other sounds within the program. I wonder if given all the advances made in the visual side of broadcasting, progress on the audio side is lacking. There are an increasing number of shows where I need closed captioning for a few scenes or two within a show because a character either is talking softly while there is other audio around him/her or the character's usual volume and pitch of voice just is not properly being supported (amplified) on my sound system.

Or eyeglasses and hearing aids.

We are enjoying Cold Case on Roku channel. There are commercials but not too bad. We never watched the series. The thing with Cold Case is that some of the stories are just depressing. We are on season 2. There have been a lot of children that died many years ago, and they get to the bottom of the deaths, and it is pretty sad for me.

I watched on iPad but it is a problem I have. To me three different female detectives looked similar until a couple episodes in. The one who worked on bosches squad I could recognize immediately because she was in previous episodes. I have always had that problem. Also I think anyone who watched this season withou5 watching previous episodes would not enjoy as much because it had so many characters, so many squads of police from different departments.

We have the same problem. I don't think it's poor audio quality. I think Hollywood has decided that mumbling is cool. Actors with unusual voices or strong accents seem to be in demand. We find that one of the big advantages of streaming is that we can back up and relisten to a scene (and sometimes it takes several tries until we finally get it).

It's similar with music. Play a Frank Sinatra song and I can understand every word. But with some of today's popular artists, I may enjoy the sound but have no idea what they're singing about.

Have to agree, when I watch SNL these days I cannot understand a word the musical guests are singing, I turn on the close captioning. This past weekend it was a rerun with Cardi B, wow, most of it was F this F that and bleeped, no wonder I couldn’t understand. :)

Just started watching Masterpiece Theatre on Prime, The Durells of Corfu. I’d seen a few random episodes but its nice to have the whole series to binge now and fill in the gaps.
