Hello Everyone!
Question:
If one borrows points from 2016 in 2015 do the MF for 2015 become due in 2015?

Thank you for your time!

No.
At 'true' HGVC TS's, borrowing (or banking) points has nothing to do with MF's.
You can do either, and your MF payment schedule stays eggs-actly the same.

Some affiliates (not HGVC-developed) may require you to prepay to get access to next year's points.

There is no downside to borrowing points from the next use year. I do it all the time to maximize my point allocation to not have any expire.

Has anybody tried to make a reservation combining banked points, current year points, and borrowed points? What would be the fee to make such reservation?:ponder:

1. You must first bank (rescue/deposit) your points & pay the fee for that ($76 online); then...
2. You make a standard reservation, the fee for which is ($52 online).
The points are drawn in the following order: banked points, current-year points, and any more points needed are borrowed automatically, without any fee.

The reason borrowing is free: To the extent that borrowing exceeds banking, it frees up space that HGVC can use for it's own benefit, i.e. hotel bookings or RCI exchanges.
