Booking grand luxxe riviera maya through HGV vs SFX vs RCI

No, I thankfully don't have any Diamond ownership as they are often difficult to get rid, of even by giving away. I had heard this from conversations at meetings I attended when DEX was launched...we were told it replaced Interval in the accounts of members who had it through EE or The Club. Seems that changed?
When was DEX launched? I had no idea I had it, until they told me I did(?). I do like it, and the LV week is a great trader. As I mentioned earlier, I used to use II for trades to Grand Luxxe, Grand Bliss, Marriott, etc. But I've dropped II and am happy using DEX which is free and exchange fees are less.

So if I buy resale polo towers today, do I get DEX, no?

SFX works differently. It's a deposit made and then you request the location/resort you wish to visit. Only the last minute availability is posted to their site. For an exchange, a "concierge" contacts you to let you know when a match has been made and you can accept or refuse it. You pay the exchange fee (I believe its $199usd currently) and pay the resort itself for any extra fees they require. Deposits are good for 3 years with the paid (Diamond) membership. I've gone to NV Grand Luxxe/Grand Bliss several times with them. Also with their bonus week that you get for making a deposit. They usually run a promo in the fall where you get 2 bonus weeks for a deposit. It's not necessary to deposit a "prime" week to get one however one should deposit at least the size of room one wants to get. Embarc trades very well with them.
BTW, is SFX’s last minute inventory interesting enough for anyone to give it a try? It can be enrolled with pretty much any timeshare but I hate their “request only” feature without seeing any instant inventory.

Here's some of what they have right now.

Here's some of what they have right now.
Thanks. Point at Poipu is certainly interesting at $114 a night. They also have 50% off last minute discounted price for Diamond membership. Could get the 10-year plan for 800 bucks and renews at 29. Tempting.
