Booking 8-12 months at home resort

Today I went into our Vistana site and tried to book at Sheraton Vistana Villages where we own for early December. We are NOT flex owners. I got the message that I had to wait until 8 months out? Huh?
This is our home resort and the season we own. What's up with that? I am sure I won't have trouble booking it at 8 months out, but thought I would get a jump on it now.
 
Assuming you haven't already used your Home Resort reservation for this year it might be one of the infamous Vistana system 'glitches' that there seem to have been quite a lot of recently.

Or since it's nearly 3 months into the Home Resort period for an early December reservation there may be no availability. There is some pent-up demand for travel and I'm afraid those who are unable or unwilling to book right at 12 months may find this repeated throughout the year.
