Question about Bonvoy Status. We are Owner level and get Gold Bonvoy status based on that. Currently I am Platinum based on Credit card and nights usage. My wife is Silver status. I want to continue to collect the elite night credits from our MVC for my Bonvoy towards Titanium Status. Are we able to have the "GOLD" status credited to my wife's Bonvoy while the nights still get credited to my Bonvoy? Basically trying to credit elite nights towards one Bonvoy number and the awarded Gold status to a different Bonvoy number. Hope that makes sense.

Bonvoy Titanium here based on too many hotel nights.

The elite night credits go to the name on the reservation. If you change the name on the reservation to you and make sure they have your bonvoy # on file, that should work. Make sure to also charge something to the room.

Right now the nights are going to my bonvoy, how do I continue to get that but also have her get the gold status at the same time? or is that even possible?

This is exactly what we did a couple of years ago.
My Bonvoy account was the one linked to our MVC Ownership.
When I reached Lifetime Titanium status though, we switched the linked Bonvoy account to my Wife’s so that she would get Titanium status through our Chairman’s Club owner level, but we still use my Bonvoy account with the reservations for me to receive Elite nights credit.

You and your wife each have the ability to have your own MVC sign on. The elite nights will get credited based which MVC sign on you use.

Once per year (and I believe you have missed it for this year) you can change the primary user, who will get the Gold Status.

As @Fasttr indicated, you each want to have your own MVC account login. Here is what we did.
  1. Each owner on the account creates their own MVC web profile. Since you already have one in your name, create a login for your wife.
  2. Do a chat with MVC online and make sure each person is setup so their Bonvoy number is associated with their profile.
  3. Also tell MVC chat agent that you would like for your wife to get the Bonvoy Elite status based on ownership. This probably won't change until February 2026 at which time she will become Gold Bonvoy
  4. When you make a reservation, make it using the login web profile of the person who you want to receive the Elite Night Credits. When a reservation is made, it will be tied to the Bonvoy account of the person who you were logged in as. This can be different than the person who receives Bonvoy Elite status based on Owner Benefit Level.
