I routinely pay maintenance fees (MF) on a Marriott/Bonvoy credit card. The January credit card statement shows the Bonvoy points credited at 6x, but the Bonvoy points (100,000 plus) did not transfer into my Bonvoy account. However, all other points transferred exactly as they appeared on the credit card statement. Is anyone else seeing this?

Nope. Mine showed up in my Bonvoy account.

Do you see 6X via the website TRANSACTIONS or from your STATEMENT?
If you see it online, those will not show up in your Bonvoy account until your Statement-Closes.

My monthly Chase/Bonvoy Visa statement shows the MF transactions in the 1/28/23 statement and shows the points in the points earned on that statement. When I went to the Bonvoy website to check my points balance, the MF points are not included in the balance as of today. It is interesting to note that the other points earned in the 1/28/23 statement period were all posted to the Bonvoy account. This is a large point addition, in excess of 150,000 points on MF's.

I opened an inquiry with Bonvoy to correct for the missing points. I pay the entire Visa balance off each month, so it can't be for lack of any payment.

Points from credit card spend usually post as three separate transactions;

Are you saying that you got the NON-MARRIOTT SPND and the 1X POINTS GAS, GROCERY, DINING but not the one for MARRIOTT SPEND?

My wife's statement just closed on the 3rd of February and nothing has posted yet. She has about 30,000 points to post for Marriott Spend.

Exactly, I'm missing the entire 6x points on Maintenance Fees paid and other Marriott Spend. Points show on the credit card statement as earned in the various categories but the 6x points did not get to Bonvoy. I opened an inquiry and I'll see if they explain or just post the points.

This is not because of any past due balance as I pay the entire Visa Card balance every month.

You might need to call Chase or American Express.

Thanks, I did initiate an inquiry with Bonvoy late Friday. I called Chase and it's hard to get through their prompts. However, the Bonvoy side said their inquiry would follow-up with the Chase side.

Will see and report what happens. It may take a few days.

The good news is that it does not seem others are having this problem and there are lots of us paying our maintenance fees on the Marriott/Bonvoy Visa cards. Suspect this is an isolated incident.

I just checked DWs account and all her points posted as expected.

We applied for the card just for the bonus points and to pay our maintenance fees.

The points were transferred out the middle of January but are not in our bonvoy account. I called the credit card company and they confirmed all the information is correct and I would need to contact bonvoy directly.

I did and they have opened incident ticket for it. I was told to call back in 10 days. That will be Thursday.

It's just under 70,000 points.

I'm hopeful once this is corrected, it should be good after that.

Just received this about the missing points.

"Thank you for contacting Marriott Bonvoy

Sorry to hear about the discrepancy with the amount of points on your Marriott Bonvoy account. The points from AMEX can take up to 12 weeks to post to your account."

How???? It's not like someone is driving up to Canada to get the print out and then driving back. Wow.

Don't have plans for the points until this fall but seriously.

That’s a cop out if I’ve ever heard one! I have never ever seen points take more than a day or two to post after the statement closes.

2/8/23 Update - No word yet. Yesterday, I again contacted Chase Marriott Bonvoy Visa, the credit card side. They can see the points as earned on the 1/28/23 credit card statement. They say they sent the correct number over to Bonvoy for credit to my points balance and to check with Bonvoy. I called the Bonvoy side, and they are still following up on the trouble ticket started last week. 157,000+ Bonvoy points for MF transactions are at risk - early and mid-January transactions. We'll see what happens.

I'm hopeful as this is the first points transferred out, that it won't be an issue after the first time.

I asked to have it escalated as 12 weeks is completely unacceptable.

We will have to wait to see.

Looks like we aren't the only one will issues.

Is this the first time points are being transferred?

Nope - these are Bonvoy points earned on Marriott purchases (6x the dollars spent). Nothing different from the same transaction for 10+ years when I have paid maintenance fees on the card. The difference is that the points transferred to Bonvoy for the 1x points and 2x points; but the 6x points (on maintenance fees) never transferred. All were on the same Visa statement. I'm baffled by this.

Today, the missing 157,000 Bonvoy points earned from Maintenance Fees appeared in the points balance -backdated to 1/27/23. I suspect something devious about these as other points posted this day did appear on the 1/27/23 date. May never know but this is not a tribute to the Bonvoy system.

It's over.

DRH90277, Glad your points appeared.

I noticed today that points have been posted from January purchases but not the missing 69XXX points from December that I had enquired about.

Will have to reach out again and ask what is up. Not expecting a proper answer.
