Going to Bonnet Creek soon. Has anyone ordered groceries for Delivery or pick up? Any advice as to where to go? we were thinking of placing an order with Target for Pick up. Is there anyplace close that might be better? Any thoughts or advice on the resort these Days with all the Covid restrictions?

Aldi is the cheapest option. I always use the one in champions gate right next to reunion

No Covid protocol advice since we haven't been down in almost a year, but we've had good experience with Walmart Grocery pickup at the location on Old Lake Wilson Rd. We also love Publix in Celebration, but there we want to go in and browse and make our own selections, which is not what you're asking

We use InstantCart for groceries, or Doordash for take out. I have not done this for Bonnet creek, but I have heard other people who have.

These are your options with InstantCart. You can have things delievered from any of those stores.

we've had good experience with Walmart Grocery pickup at the location on Old Lake Wilson Rd.

I've used this location a couple times as well. Walmart pickup is always my go-to for groceries when I'm outside of my Kroger region.

We just returned from a short stay there and had a wonderful time at the resort. Signs were posted everywhere at the resort asking guests to wear masks, socially distance, wash hands. Hand sanitizer dispensers were widely available. When you want to visit any of the pools or kids splash zone, you just show up at the entry gate, first come, first serve. Seating is labeled "Ready" once it's been cleaned. Staff brings your group to available seats, spaced apart from other groups. Hot tubs are all closed off. To use the ping-pong tables, pool tables, mini-golf, other recreation, they ask you to call to reserve times. Easy. The shops, restaurants, bars were open but they limit occupancy so there was sometimes a short spaced-apart line outside the ice cream scoop shop. The resort was as beautiful and festive as ever.

Unfortunately, Disney Hollywood Studios was not a great experience, especially since we had a child with us. Too hot & humid without much air-conditioned relief, and too crowded with all live entertainment venues closed. A shame really. We took ta pleasant Skyliner ride over to the Riviera Resort for an excellent lunch. Then we were thankful to have such a lovely, fun resort to retreat back to, for the rest of our stay.

We use Shipt (you can pick from Target, Publix and WinDixie- if you want alcohol choose Target or ABC Spirits). They also use Bed bath & Beyond, CVS, Office Depot and Office Max. We usually order a few hours before our set arrival and meet the shopper at check in. You can choose your delivery date and times, too

I can safely say we will NEVER use a grocery delivery service. My wife looks at every grocery store as a totally unique experience. Even Aldi, which carries 95% store brands. They are all different to her.

I'm laughing because there's not much chance of me using one either. But I have several reasons.

1. After 42 years of marriage can DH pick out fresh fruits, vegetables and meat to my satisfaction. There's a miniscule chance that some random person will do it to my standards.
2. I don't think I've ever made a completely comprehensive grocery list in all the years we've been married. Years ago DH learned about my grocery lists. He came home with everything on the list and not one other thing! I was stunned that he never realized my lists only consist of the things I want to make sure I don't forget. What we're out of or about out of, the sale items I want and things I need for the meals I've planned. How can I know everything I'll want until I get there and see what they have?
3. The chances of me going into a grocery store, even when we only need one or two things, and not doing every aisle but the laundry, cleaning and paper product aisles? Good luck with that! I sometimes wait in the car while DH goes in when we just need a couple of things because he can go in, get them, pay and be back to the car in under 10 minutes.

I took advantage of the Chase Sapphire reserve deal where you go a $50 statement credit if you signed up for their express membership which brings it down to $70 for the year. Also, up until September 30th, you got 5 points per dollar in instant cart groceries deliveries. I will look into the Walmart delivery after my year is up.

When (if) Publix opens stores in Northern Virginia, Giant and Safeway will be in a heap of trouble. (By Northern Virginia, I mean Arlington and Fairfax Counties. Publix is supposed to open a store in Stafford County but that might as well be in North Carolina.)

Yep, Publix has been slowly moving Northward since the mid 1980's... it's really forced Kroger and Ingles to step up their game in Georgia and North Carolina, and Harris Teeter I guess, if they are still even around. Publix is a superior Grocery store and I almost exclusively shop there. It's one of the worst things about travelling, not having a Publix. There's one in Tennessee right near the Smoky Mountains resort, also one not too far from the Nashville property.

They've been in Maryland for several years now; we first started using the one over the river in Leesburg, VA before they came here. Completely agree with the quality and selection being great.

Seemingly half of New York and New Jersey has moved to Florida (can't blame them) and none of them can shut up about how great Wegmans is...of course they also can't shut up about how great everything was up there, but that's another story. None of them move back, shockingly.
