Is there some reason why all inventory is removed from Bonnet Creek. Are they doing renovations, or just fixing inventory temporarily?

It's one of those resorts with "high maintenance fees" and "low owner occupancy" that is "expensive to maintain"
lol, there would be a riot.

Come on man, Wyndham has resorts in other "Tuscaloosa" type locations to build. Selling Bonnet Creek would be great seed money. Remember, they just renovated Tower 6 and are working on Tower 3 right now. They need an ROI on those maintenance fees the owners are paying.

Owner occupancy at Bonnet Creek skyrocketed following:

1) The introduction of automatic upgrades
2) Certain commercial rental offenders being ushered out the Club exit door
3) Enforcement of VIP benefits on developer purchased points only

and to a lesser extent with

4) Introduction of a waitlist
5) Owner Priority Dates

Bonnet Creek still showing no availability forever after 12/1/2025. Wondering if it’s worth someone reaching out to them to inquire what is going on? I have a friend (who owns there as well) looking to make a March reservation.

What would be the appropriate number to call? I feel like just calling the regular customer service number will lead to someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing just telling me that the resort is in fact fully booked up in 2026 with no availability.

That is very likely what you will be told, based on what’s happened when similar blocks have appeared on resort calendars in the past. Maybe @HitchHiker71 can reach out to one of his contacts.

That would be appreciated…. A block like this on Wyndham’s flagship resort for December and all of 2026 seems outright bizarre. @HitchHiker71, any insight?

Are you people new owners or new to TUG? This has happened before, not just for Bonnet Creek but other resorts too, and will almost certainly happen again in the future. Sometimes the grayed out months are back in a few days but it has been known to take longer.

I’m aware it’s happened before at smaller resorts due to things like renovations, etc. Did not realize it had happened before at a resort like Bonnet Creek (where it’s definitely not because of renovations).

My comments were obviously joking in this context.

This has happened before with many other resorts, and even Bonnet Creek a few times over the last few years.

"Phantom unavailability". It's frustrating, but it's happened many times. I'm guessing this is just another IT "bug" they will magically fix one day.

Let's give it a couple of days - we've seen this issue repeatedly over time where inventory blocks temporarily occur - these issues typically resolve themselves within a few days time. If we're still seeing this in a few days I'm happy to follow up with my internal IT contacts. We often see these types of blocks prior to an announced outage window. Oftentimes the back end team makes changes that don't require an outage window shortly before the announced outage window, such that the outage window changes made by the digital transformation website team then piggyback on the back end changes. In this case, we're still seeing a block even after the change window, which based upon past experience, means that something either wasn't implemented during the change window that was planned, for whatever reason, or there's an unexpected downstream impact that Wyndham didn't catch in QA testing that needs to be remediated, and that typically takes a few days time for Wyndham to troubleshoot the issue, and remediate the issue.

This has happened at larger resorts as well, including BC in the past, along with large resorts in MB for example. @Jan M. is on base - this is far from new - and almost always temporary in nature. Try again in a few days and all will be well. If it's that important, call owner services and have a VC attempt to make the reservation and see if they are or are not experiencing the same issue.

Thanks. I'm not that worried about my friend's dates in 2026 selling out so I'll tell her to sit tight.

I guess you are ok with a closed market and companies lying.

It's definitely happened at BC before. We never get an explanation about why, it just fixes itself.

It was a beautiful thing as all the inventory comes back at once and the little fish are cancelling reservations to adjust dates or cancel rebook and are not aware inventory is not coming back. When it did come back I could book as much as I could and if within 60 days discount upgrade then finally go and cancel my full point reservations. A bunch would have already been rented.
