Bonnet Creek isnt a gold crown?

Hi- I just looked on RCI and saw that Bonnet Creek isnt a gold crown. Now I know for a fact that it use to be. Why did they take the gold crown away? They also had Cypress Palms as a gold crown and now just a hospitality. Whats up with this!?!?

No one has exchanged into Bonnet Creek that I am aware of......So how could it get any rating?

It is definitely Gold Crown quality, no doubt. Sounds like Cypress Palms could use an update because they dropped from Gold Crown to Hospitality, I believe.

Better question is how did Orbit One get Silver Crown?

How does Orange Lake keep Gold Crown, when so many people complain about the place?

Vistana is Silver Crown, downgraded last year, and that is the rating it deserves, in my opinion. When they fix up the older units, they will probably get that Gold Crown back. I understand they are paying big assessments for that purpose.

So many resorts in Orlando to choose from that it is easy to get the cream of the crop without risking a terrible stay.

I hope Wyndham never gives Bonnet Creek to RCI.

Thanks for the replys. I didnt know about that thread. I could have sworn that like 2 months ago Bonnet Creek had a gold crown rating. Im new to the whole RCI thing (Not wyndham/fairfield).

I agree about Orange lake, I visted a friend who was staying there in a 2 Bedroom and I wouldnt say it was gold crown quality.

You are correct in thinking that Bonnet Creek had a gold, because i bought there because of it. Now looking at it its gone. However, realize that ratings change all the time. Since I have been a member it seems that they upgrade rating yearly, based on member feedback, and Wyndam has to be fair when rating their resorts because they have contracts with other resorts and don't want to tick off there partners. Also if you want a decent trade, bank your week early, do a ongoing search that you check regularly and be flexible in your travel choices. I have always gotten places I wanted to go and stayed in nice resorts by booking 1 year early. I am now working on 2009/10 travel plans as 2008 is booked for us, and most of 2009 is too. Good luck!
