bluray and network streaming

I have a sony s380 bluray with it network ready. How or why can't I stream my computer movies without using the stupid USB drive ? It on the network yet I can't seem anywhere to find if this is even possible ?
 
It looks like the Sony S380 doesn't have that feature. From its feature list:
•Bravia Internet Video streaming media suite (Netflix, Amazon VOD, Hulu Plus, Pandora, YouTube, Slacker, Qriosity)
•Media playback over USB port

You can stream videos using those apps on the bluray player; it does not stream from a media server on your network. According to the DLNA website, the S380 is not a DLNA device.
