Formerly: Marriott, ILX, Westin, Diamond, Worldmark. Timeshare free as of 12/24.
I sold blinds, shades, shutters and draperies for 30 years. A local business who makes free in-home consultations, and often free installation (we only charged for high ladder/two man jobs), will be your best source. And ain't nothin' wrong with cut to fit paper shades from Home Depot that stick up on the window or wall (careful if you have fresh paint) to prevent worker bees next door from looking in. Our home before this was a three story Victorian and we had a refrigerator in the living room and paper shades in the windows for six months as we got moved in, remodeled, and the walls papered and painted.

We've found cut-to-fit accordion shades at home centers to be entirely workable. We have custom window coverings on 'critical' windows and use the store-bought shades on such things as bedrooms- where we wanted room-darkening shades. It saved us a bundle- and gives privacy where we want privacy.

Yes, twice, and quite happy. Inside-mount blinds are hard to mess up, either in measuring or mounting. You can probably find a local handyman to mount them all for you.
Do you by chance have any experience with the "motorized" blinds? (did I mention the hubs is bougie? hahahaha)

motorized blinds are going to increase complexity because they need power. I don’t think you want to starting cutting into drywall to run power. You’ll need an electrician and then someone to patch and texture and paint.

People told us to go to Lowe’s for shades or blinds for the best deal. We also had a local company come in for an estimate on shades. Expensive for just 7 windows in our new construction cottage.

I’m not suggesting you do this as I am sure you probably want something more sophisticated and warm, but for what we needed and wanted we ended up with window film that looks just like mini blinds! On some windows, we only did half a window so as to be able to see outside. A couple of others we did the whole window so we would have to open the windows to see outside. Got it on Amazon on for $138 For all 7 windows and still have some leftover. Lol!

I really like this option. Nothing to clean. You can take them off and put them back on if you want to with no damage to the glass or frame.

So far working out well for us. And- no one can see into the house from the outside. We, too, have neighbors right beside us. We can practically hold hands with them!

Blinds.com was going to be our next choice as they seemed to have good selections and a reasonable installation charge. We did not want to install them ourselves. They did the skylight shades in our former home.

We also considered paper shades for a temporary solution, but felt the window film was a better option than that.

I think we may need to give them a try, thanks for the suggestion! We maybe would just get "temporary blinds" to hold us over so that the construction guys building the houses right across the street don't get a free show every morning when I shower

Lol! We have exactly the same situation with construction going on directly across from us. Thankfully the house next door to us just closed.
We joked around saying maybe they’ll put up shades first so we don’t have to! Lol!,
