I was looking for my paperwork to cancel this and I think they said it was on this black key but how do you use this?

What timeshare company? Users on this forum may be able to provide you with the address to send your paperwork to. I’m assuming the “black key” is a usb fob that you need to put into a computer? Is this Westgate by any chance?

Yeah its westgate I thought this was all westgate I'm sorry lol. Yes I figured it out writing letter now but not sure whete the contract number is so I put the right thing down so looking for a post for that

There’s no contract number anywhere on the contract? Westgate is known to hide the key information you need to rescind. Are you still on vacation right now or are you home? Given the amount of money involved it may be worth taking a trip to your local library/Internet cafe/staples/whatever to use a computer to find the contract number on that flash drive.

Also make sure that:
1. Your letter is signed by everyone who signed the contract;
2. It is sent to the correct address (the address listed for rescinding the contract, not the sales office or anywhere like that);
3. It is sent by Certified Mail, return receipt requested.

I'm sure we have the contract number but I'm not sure if it's it to be exact there is letters and numbers all over the place. I'm assuming it's the really long number with the dash and also should I send the recession letter to the place stated and where I got the timeshare or just the place stated and also what one do I send the tablet and stuff back to?

Definitely send the rescission letter to the address the contract states you should send the rescission letter to, not the sales office. In the letter you can indicate you are shipping the iPad back via separate package, and then also send the iPad there (the cancellation address, not the sales office).

There’s no “magic language” needed, just a letter something like this:
Date:

Dear: ________,
We are exercising our right to rescind and cancel contract# _____________ for (name of resort), signed by (your names). Please cancel this contract immediately. I am mailing the free IPad we received back to you via separate cover letter.

Sincerely,

(Have it signed by everyone who signed the contract).

Make sure to send it certified mail from the USPS.

Ok so should I get it notarized? There us a number everywhere that is the same that 11 digits long then a dash and 3 digits it's especially on the special warranty deed I'm just trying to make sure I have the right thing because you know how little mistakes legally go.

It does not need to be notarized. I don’t know about the contract number. That’s probably it, but maybe try posting int he Westgate Subforum? How many days left do you have to rescind? The most important thing is to get this in the mail within your rescission period. Somebody who knows more than me about what Westgate contracts look like will probably see and respond to this thread soon.
