Wow that is a lot of savings! I'm doing something wrong, when I try to book something, it doubles the points requirement and then gives me the discount. Tried it on 2 different HVC properties (one in Tahoe and one in Sedona) Have any of you had that happen before?

In case anyone was having these same issues, this appears to be fixed now. There is also a box at the top of the booking page for the promo that they are aware of issues and are trying to resolve them

I booked Williamsburg 3-bed for 125 points per night, no other fees. Gee, I feel the whole thing is like a scam!

I was able to save over $5K points for an Elara booking. Sweet. I think that @Hoodwink wins the prize so far.

We saved 7010 points. Well I suppose technically we only saved 1,140 points because we moved up into a GW PH for part of our stay...;-)

Gee, I feel the whole thing is like a scam!

Many would agree, in a different sense of the word..
You are doing it the right way esp as The Secret-Max-society (which I am not a member of)..
Unlike many poor retail HGVC owners, who certainly feel this whole thing is a scam, having spent 200k for just one deed, while under influence, at a fancy 'update' (+ ongoing MFs, forever for some crappy, high MF deed or worse, trust points )....

I’ll be figuring out flight changes in the next couple of days.

It took a couple of hours of my time on the phone with a lovely Alaska Air CS person, but flight changes are squared away.

We have 17 nights for the points used for the original 12. We have a 1 stop flight plan instead of 2. And because air prices have dropped a bit since we booked back in September, Alaska gave us $100 back, in the form of a credit certificate.

Saved 36,390 points at a Feb stay at Sea World. Wife and I had booked 7 rooms for a week or so each (couple more, couple less). We are taking all the nieces and nephews (and great nieces and nephews) to Orlando for a family trip like they used to do when they were young. Each family gets their own room. Now I can go back to Hawaii next year too!
