I had created a bit of a points desert with a couple of trips this year and early next. This promo helped get me some of that back and even helped on one I didn't expect would fall under this promo. 40-50% off brings my MF cost used down to $.06-.08/point.

Wow that is a lot of savings! I'm doing something wrong, when I try to book something, it doubles the points requirement and then gives me the discount. Tried it on 2 different HVC properties (one in Tahoe and one in Sedona) Have any of you had that happen before?

It sometimes happens when I've had a few but it's not just the points doubling.... Actually, the website worked properly for me, showing the full price cost for the days in strikethrough font and the reduced cost.

The stays I booked are so low in points that I don't care if I cancel and lose the points. I canceled our Washington DC stay during the government shutdown. C'est la vie.

It might be worth breaking the stay up into a 13-night and a 4-night one before the end of the promo window. Then you would keep the discount on the original 13-night stay if you wind up canceling the 4-night one after all.

Congrats to all who saved. We have Vegas in a couple of weeks (so inside 30 days), W. 57th (not included) in May and we'll book September dates in Waikoloa but the window is not until late December. Since we only do a few HGVC stays annually, it's hit or miss with the sales for us.

Saved 36,390 points at a Feb stay at Sea World. Wife and I had booked 7 rooms for a week or so each (couple more, couple less). We are taking all the nieces and nephews (and great nieces and nephews) to Orlando for a family trip like they used to do when they were young. Each family gets their own room. Now I can go back to Hawaii next year too!
