At European MVC resorts they give out a different type of wristband at Sales Presentations, but just for those who make a purchase.
These are larger and fit on like some watch bands.
At first sight they look the part, but in practice they are rather chunky and can fall off rather too easily.

That reminds me of a true story.......
When I was a young kid, maybe 8 years old, my best friend & I, at the request of his Mom,
picked up dozens and dozens of pine cones strewn in their heavily wooded yard.
His Mom, with wide eyes and a huge smile on her face, promised that she would have a reward for us on completion.
We were excited.
We spent about 3 hours doing the job, and soon our fingers were extremely sore to the point of bleeding.
But we had done it!!!!
We happily ran up to the front door and told her that the many paper yard bags were now full, and that no more pine cones were to be found.
We had finished, and we were grinning proudly.
She said loudly, "Great work you guys! Hold out your hands" (and I'll never forget the next part, as we held out our hands),
"Here's a nice piece of candy"...... (a small hard candy, the size of a Tootsie Roll & probably left over from Halloween)
So, the resort's "sales gift" mentioned in the post above REALLY reminds me of my childhood experience, minus the bleeding........
For someone spending tens of thousands of dollars, all the buyers got were free "watchband keys" ????
Quoting my sister-in-law's most favorite expression, "BIG WHOOP!"
P.S.......I still remember the Mom's name, his name, their address and even their old landline 7-digit phone number (no area code back then).
Haven't seen them in many decades.......and nowadays when I lean over to pick up a pine cone in my own (new) yard these days, I think of her........
