I am getting ready to book my 2007 vacation. Is it better or easier to do it online or should I call and book it over the phone?

I am a Bluegreen member and we used to have a special phone number to call, but i don't think that applies anymore.

Any suggestions?

We still have a bluegreen number

Just called Tuesday, it answers with "Welcome to Bluegreen" or something like that.

online booking or phone booking??

Do you know the RCI bluegreen number? And when they are open?

But that still doesn't answer my question, if it is better to call RCI to book my week, or to just do it online?

Any suggestions/thoughts?

maryk,

For the most part, it's a matter of your own preference. Guides can provide suggestions and advice that you might find helpful, but if you don't feel you need the human touch, you may find it more convenient to work online. There's also no rule that says once you've started a search online or with a Guide you have to continue with that mode of communication.

RCI number for bluegreen ...

The number is printed directly on your RCI directory. They are open the same hours as RCI, it just comes in on a different line.

I find booking on line confusing. If I ask for an area and a resort comes up that I don't like, it just keeps offering me that same resort. Also, I'm afraid that it puts me at the bottom of the list again (as though I'd just requested the exchange that day instead of several months ago.)

This happens all the time since Daytona is always availabe and I like the east coast of Florida, but not Daytona. It's hard to reason with a computer. :(

Neesie,

Your original search entry date stays the same as long as you don't confirm a vacation or stop the search altogether. You may release as many units as you wish without affecting your search priority.

Units of the same configuration at a resort should not match repeatedly. However, our system will allow units of a different type at the same resort to match. If you see this happening, you might send an e-mail to feedback@rci.com with TUG in the subject line. The Communcations Team can release the unit for you.
