I could not find a map for the Westin Cabo n the stickies. Will book a studio in the traditional building (or a 1 bdrm in Baja Point if can get it.)

What are best studio rooms to request for view? Lower buy the pool? or higher terraced? Building? Any HVAC noise or other major distraction to avoid?

TIA

For a studio you would want the Royal Beach Tower. That's the middle of the buildings that are connected - the East Tower and the West Tower have good views, too, but it's an arc so face somewhat towards the shore. We had great views from the 6th floor (of 9). We found the owners pool over at Baja Point nicer than the pools by the original Westin so wouldn't see much point in asking for a room closer to the pools and would go for a higher floor. Owners pool is open to Westin Los Cabos, Aventuras, and Vistana owners - they did check once when we were there and it had gotten a bit crowded. Simplest way to get from the original side to Baja Point is to go to the 9th floor, walk to the west end and take the path to the road and follow it. Because of that, I would prefer the West Tower to the East Tower if I couldn't get the Royal Beach Tower. Didn't notice any HVAC issues or anything else to avoid.

I have been in the west tower studio floor 7 and right in the middle on floor 9, also a studio. Both views were great. Looking out from inside the room I could only see water.

Another poster mentioned getting to Baja Point from level 9. I didn’t realize you could just walk around from level 9 until my second time there. Since we were on 9 we decided to walk around and see where it took us, and we ended up at Baja Point.

While Baja Point is nice I prefer the main resort area. It’s more lively and easier to get to everything, plus the pools are very nice there as well.

Thanks all. This is excellent information and I was able to secure a studio and add these requests. @Mroze The map was extremely helpful to bringing life to the comments that followed. Tuggers are awesome!

@DeniseM Perhaps the map above from Mroze should be added to the resort information sticky since there is no info on this resort.

For the future: What are the best placements for a 2 bdrm? I am hearing that there are hot tubs on the balcony. Which units have those? and where are they located?

The 2 BR Premium units in the original side have hot tubs on the balconies. We stayed in one in the Royal Beach tower - they are at the ends in the middle. The baja point units do too, except for the hotel size ones.
