Best trader in Monarch Grand Vacations

Hi all! I am looking for opinions on which resort in the Monarch Grand Vacations collection would be the best trader. Bill mentioned Palm Canyon in another thread. I was thinking maybe Cabo Azul since it is fairly new and so nice, but maybe not because of the over-development of timeshares in that area. SFX said they would take Cabo Azul so that's a good sign, but I may end up going with II. What does everyone else think (and why)?

Hi, We own Monarch Grand, but have not traded yet. I would think a summer week at Riviera Beach/Riviera Shores would trade great, just because they are on the So.CA beach. I know the units aren't the best, but location, location, location.
I remember hearing a salesman tell someone how great the Vegas 3 bed. trades, but that's a lot of points.

Location and timeframe selected gives you good trades

New Year's week for the Vegas Cancun units has a pretty high exchange rate. We have traded for Hawaii several times. If you select Vegas, choose one of the holiday weeks. If you choose Cabo, choose Spring Break. Both of the Ca Beach resorts have only a few units owned by Monarch and are really hard to book very far in advance to give you trade benefit, but as Bill stated in an earlier thread - the location if you can get a summer week to trade will give you excellent trading results as well.

Cedar Breaks in Utah for Christmas-New Years is also a great trader

I forgot to mention the Cedar Break as a choice. It is always booked solid between Christmas and New Years and is right by the ski lifts and tubing hill as well as snow mobiles. Our family has had a lot of fun there and it would be a good trade if you got that week.

Riviera Beach is a much better trader than Riviera Shores ( although I like RS much better)

BUT Riviera Beach (RB) has the worst reservation system in MGV therefore it is so hard to get a reservation 1 year ahead of time ( sometimes it hard to get a reservation 6 months ahead) that you can often deposit only 6 months before checkin that makes it a less attractive choice as a trader than Palm Caynon.
