Hi. We're planning to go to Park City for the Sundance in Jan. 2024. What's the best timeshare to stay at, if we can get it either through exchange or rental? Maybe Marriott Summit Watch because it's right in town, and we can walk to all the restaurants and bars? Do the buses to the theater venues stop nearby? We do intend to ski several days, but we have the Ikon pass, so will be skiing Deer Valley. Would be nice to be by a bus station for Deer Valley, too, and not too far away, but do like to be close to the historic Main Street. Thanks!

Marriott Summit Watch is the most popular rental for Sundance because it is downtown and you can walk to many theater venues. However it is the most pricey. There is also a bus stop near by and it is close to the trolley that runs up Main street which will take you to the city bus terminal. There you can catch a free bus to Deer Valley. There are other timeshares in Park City that are also close to bus stops. Deer Valley used to offer free ski valet overnight service so you did not need to lug your skies back and forth. I left my skies there overnight and changed into tennis shoes and carried my boots on the bus ride home. You will not be able to exchange into Park City during the third week of January. I am an owner of several Park City timeshares and I always rent them at a profit. The reservations are competitive to secure for the owners so they would not be putting them in the exchange pool. The best source of rentals is Redweek. Be sure to sort them by date so that all the possibles filter up, not just the preferred listings. The sooner you book the best deal you will make because many owners put an early bird discount on the rentals. The longer you wait the pricier it becomes. Timeshares are a better choice that hotels because restaurants are super crowded at this, time so it is more practical to cook your own meals. Likewise the streets are very crowded and blocked to traffic. You absolutely do not need to rent a car for your Sundance vacation. You can take a private shuttle from the airport and then ride the free busses all over town.

Summit Watch s the best for Sundance. Close to transit center and the box office as well. Westgate out at the canyons is nice too since they have a shuttle that will dorp you off and pick you up for films.

By the way, thanks for the recommendations We did stay at Marriott Summit Watch; rented from a Tugger on the TUG website, and it was PERFECT for Sundance. Super convenient location, comfortable unit, right in the heart of Park City for the movies, restaurants and shopping, and easy access to free bus to ski Deer Valley using our Ikon pass.
