Apparently, our subscription ran out. I have no idea of the vendor. So, we need to subscribe again. Can anyone suggest the lowest cost subscription vendor?

Wonka- I would google "TV Guide discount" or smething like that. I have used www.magazinevalues.com and others. I am not renewing as I HATE the new format and never even use it. I amsure you can get some good deals, though.

Cheers to the internet for having sites like zap2it.com that make TV magazine listings superfluous.

Jeers to TV Guide for changing their format.

My mother subscribed to TV Guide (and always gave us a subscription as an annual gift) for well over 30 years. When we saw the changes they made to become a poor People magazine and virtually eliminating the actual listings both subscriptions were ended. We depend on the Sunday paper now to get TV listings along with the Internet. Cheaper and our tv consumption is way down from years past as the Internet and other entertainment sources such as DVD's and digital on demand have largely replaced any network style viewing. I doubt TV Guide will survive too many more years.

My wife likes the new format...go figure! The online site would be fine if I could print out the whole day.

Same here..I've lived with reading the TV Guide for over 30 years and had no problem with the format. We put up with the new format for about a month and then demanded the rest of our unused subscription money back. The new format is too cumbersome in that the listings were too hard to find and they eliminated the Saturday/Sunday daytime listings. It's like what the heck??? Who needs to spend all this money when we can get the same thing or better for free in the Sunday paper. Also, we can find out what's on tv with our cable menu using the remote control. I don't know what the heck TV Guide was thinking but I'm sure they've lost alot of loyal customers.

Any longtime Reader's Digest customers out there who have cancelled their subscriptions due to the high subscription rate these days?

I know, I was referring to Reader's Digest............See end of post #9. Sorry for the confusion.

Things come and go in the magazine sites, and you have to keep watching. I expect that TV Guide knew last year that they were going to change formats and that is why it was so cheap (and even free a couple of times).

Readers' Digest is way over priced, IMHO, when you subscribe directly. You can get it for a lot less at other outlets.

New magazines are often a great bargain. I've been subscribing to OK at a rate of about $4. a year. Its now up to maybe $16. which still isn't bad for a weekly.

Ebay remains a good spot to search for magazine renewals, too.
