awhile ago, smeone posted a link to a good deal on Tax Act. However, the price have changed on that link. Any suggestions for a good price on either program.

Watch the Sunday papers for sales at places like Staples. Alternately, you might be able to find an acceptable price at Costco or BJs.

I was going to buy it at BJ's this morning ($39.99 after coupon + tax), but the buy.com price was a few dollars cheaper.

TaxAct is free, unless you get the Deluxe version for $12.95. I don't bother with the Deluxe since I don't need the fancy import features and we don't have a state income tax here.

I just filed my Son's tax return for free using Tax Cut (H&R Block). I think you have to earn under $50,000 and be under 50 years old to get the free version

I do 5 tax returns and this year three of them will be very complicated. I don't meet that under 50 and under 50 thousand restriction.

I bought T.T. on ebay. The Home & Business version was $20 less (only $49) than at Costco. :)

Turbo Tax on Ebay

I bought T.T. on ebay. The Home & Business version was $20 less (only $49) than at Costco. :)

I paid $49 for TT Premier on E-bay. 5 returns, with E-file and State ($72.99 at Costco)
