Where Which Exchange company?

My sister jsut received a 3-bedroom at a Publo Bonito Resort for this Thanksgiving 2006. She now wants the family to join them.

I have two (2006 & 2007) Hawaii weeks to use, that I have not deposited.

Any suggestion on which exchange company to use? I would like to get two more rooms.

I traded there for last summer and my whole family went as well. It was awesome! I traded there with a SA unit, and I notice you own SA so I'd try that first, rather than your Hawaii units. Of course, we each got a one-bedroom unit with our SA units, but it might be worth looking into. We are planning on going back in 4 years! We loved it!! Have a great trip!

How did your sister receive that 3-bedroom unit? It must be a penthouse unit as the largest standard unit is a 2-bedroom. If she got it from one of the smaller, independent exchange companies, you ought to try the same one.

RCI supposedly withholds PB owner deposits until 120 days before check-in for the benefit of other PB owners who wish to exchange in to PB. Any other PB availability appearing before the 120-day mark is most likely developer inventory.

I just found out my sister received the Monte Cristo Estates. Their Insurance Broker is an owner and gave them the week.

The nearest resort is the Pueblo Bonito Sunset.

I have an on-going search with my SA weeks, but nothing so far.

Wow! That is very cool. Maybe your sister will let you stay with her. According to this site , the 3-bedroom house sleeps 10 comfortably.

You probably have a better chance of trading into PB Sunset Beach than the Rose or Blanco because there are more units and they are actively selling. There is most likely a lot of developer inventory. I think you have a good chance of getting something with an ongoing search this early.

The developer deposits are usually done over a year in advance (There was a bulk banking in July or August for December of 2006). But there could be some cancellationss. Otherwise, you'd have to wait until at least May for the units to show up because they'll be held for other PB owners until the 6 month mark. You could also check the direct trade board on TUG to see if anyone is interested in doing a direct trade with you.

I agree with Karen just stay with your sister if you can't find anything for trade You might try SFX they seem to get some inventory for the PB Sunset. I also am searching for the week of thanksgiving with SFX. Just put the search in last week and they already offered me the Hacienda Del Mar. I have stayed there before and it is to far out on the corridor for my liking. The week of thanksgiving don't forget is a holiday week for the US. Which makes trading a little more difficult with less powerful weeks. You can always but the search in with your most powerful week and then to the old bait and switch to the less powerful week that is going to expire first. SFX will give you more for those Hawaii weeks if they accept the resort. They will give you a bonus Mexico week that you could possibly use for your trip. If you are not already a member you can get more bonus weeks for your 2006 deposit just keep asking for MORE.

If you can't find a trade and still need another room or 2 you could try the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Hotel (not timeshare) that is next next to PB Sunset Beach. While we were at PBSB last November, we went over to the Pacifica for breakfast and to just look around. Very nice.
