Clark Art and Williams College Museum of Art in Williamstown. Spice Root is a fantastic restaurant in downtown.

Heading there next week. Any suggestions?

I'm partial to the town of West Cornwall, CT. Covered bridge. Appalachian Trail town -- so brisk hiker business during season.

And while not in the Berkshires, I couldn't be that close to Shelburne Falls, MA or Northampton, MA without visiting. Those are two of my favorite towns in the entire country. Grab some knives at the Lamsonsharp store. And see a show at the Iron Horse. If you're lucky, the Nields are playing. They're the hometown favorites in that area.

Some good suggestions. You might add a trip up Mount Greylock in Adams, MA. Lee and Lenox, Sturbridge (don't bother looking for Alice's restaurant) and Great Barrington are all interesting. If you want to visit and pet some calves take rt.7 south to CT and then a left for 4 miles on rt.44 and just beyond the East Canaan post office, they have 4 calves with umbrellas just off the road at the Elm Knoll farm.

West Stockbridge. Sturbridge has the colonial village.

Making my list. We are headed to Oak n Spruce next June. It's been around 10 years since I've been to the Berkshires. Your lists are making me excited to revisit this area!

Norman Rockwell Museum. Divine Mercy Shrine has a life size Stations of the Cross in Stockbridge. Bennington Vermont is a nice drive. The Baldwin Vanilla Shop is quaint and nice. Small but nice museum in Pittsfield.
And if you like to shop, Lee outlets and Manchester, VT outlets.

Either on your way out or back, stop at Magic Wings in Deerfield. Butterfly place ~ you'll love it!!! We took two of our Grandsons to Oak N Spruce last summer, (who had a ball BTW....), and stopped there. Wasn't sure how the boys would like it, (ages 11 & 14 at the time.....), older boy absolutely LOVED it!! Large indoor garden, (think fieldhouse), with hundreds of butterflies flying around.......................... there are birds, fish, and other small animals too................

Antiques - lots of shops on route 7 south of Great Barrington to near the CT border. Maybe a canoe trip down the Housatonic river

Bennington ,VT has lots of Grandma Moses paintings. You could also drive along the Mohawk Trail.

If you're going to make the trek to Deerfield, might as well hit South Deerfield which has the Yankee Candle village (the 1st Yankee Candle store ever). We stayed there for hours when we hit BB for the first time last spring. Really cool place IMHO.

Heading there next week. Any suggestions?
Staying the week of Aug 20-27.
Some suggestions: There are a couple of theaters in downtown Pittsfield. I plan on seeing a performance of “A Little Night Music.”
Edith Wharton’s home “The Mount” has an outdoor sculpture exhibit as well as house tours - Lenox
MassMoCA - contemporary art museum - North Adams
Naumkeag - Gilded Age mansion & gardens - Stockbridge
Farmers Market - Lenox/F, Pittsfield/Sa
Most of the towns have free concerts, usually in a park, during the week
