Has anyone stayed here recently? I believe it was formerly Royal Palm Beach Club-Belize

Hi Lisa,

I think you might get more of a response if this was in the International BBS not Mexico. Maybe a moderator can move it for you.

We stayed at the Royal Palm but that was back in 1998. It was a GC at the time but I don't think they kept the resort up or finished the second phase. There should still be an old review but it's probably not relevant anymore. There was another resort called the Belize Yacht Club so I don't think they are the same one. RP was RCI and Belize Yacht was II at the time.

Hi Lisa, just curious if you've found someone who has first-hand experience with Belize Yacht Club? I have an exchange request in w/II, and also wasn't able to find any timeshare users who had stayed there (other than reviews I read on TripAdvisor.com). I'm thinking I may have a tough time exchanging into the Ambergris Caye, but we'll see. I put in my request 3 weeks ago for a spring 2008 vacation, so I've got a ton of time.

I don't know if you will only stay at Belize Yacht Club but II has had quite a few weeks to Costa Maya Reef Resort on Abergris Caye. They are developer weeks and it appears they keep giving II more of them. We will be staying there in August 2007. From everything I have read this resort is somewhat isolated and far from the town of San Pedro but for us that just adds to the new adventure!

Yes, I've seen the Costa Maya Reef come up, but I really want to stay at the Belize Yacht Club, and now have changed my request to also include the Jamaica Inn (in Jamaica of course). Just wish I could find some timeshare folks to give feedback on the Belize Yacht Club as opposed to just the TripAdvisor peeps! :)

When I posted the question there was a week available for Feb 2007 and Dec 2007. My father has been wanting to go there and I was trying to get any updated information about the resort. I ended up not booking either week.
