Bay Area tolls California

I have a bunch of toll violations from driving San Jose to Oakland. At least the violations which include toll evasion are easy to pay. It took about 2 hours to go maybe 40 miles in the fast lane ? I don't have a clue how the evasion fine was added to a couple of the tolls.

It's as bad as L.A. imo. Worse than Seattle.

But probably not near as bad as the "dynamic pricing" tolls around Washington DC

Yes, some routes are. Fortunately I don't drive those with any regularity. Assume you were in your own vehicle, not a rental? I think the rental agencies use transponders or linked plates. You would avoid the evasion penalty, but have the extra processing fee from from the rental company.

Our traffic has increased seemingly exponentially over the years. I am sure that one reason is the vast number of people commuting to get to work these days. No one can afford to live here or in or around Silicon valley. Article in our paper within the last week about the 2 hour+ commuters and the rideshare drivers have been commuting into SF for a long time.

Heck... Back in Idaho no such concept of tolls! When I lived there and explained the concept
