I have some left over points, enough for a one bdr at WKorv.
I am looking to exchange for a time share in KYushu, japan.
I tried to log into II but they ask for a membership number.
How do I get it.
Also how do you know if you are getting a fair exchange using II meaning like property for like property?
Thanks
RT

You must set up a II acct first. If you haven't done this yet - contact SW owner services.

In most cases, its a poor value to trade an expensive timeshare, because you won't get an equal property in exchange

Do you know if there are timeshares in Japan?

Its very unlikely that you will get a Westin quality exchange.

For more info see the FAQ sticky at the top of the forum.

One more point: you can't deposit Staroptions, or a Staroption reservation - you must deposit a full week of home resort usage from your resort.

Thanks so much. These bits of feedback I pick up on this board are priceless.
I had those thoughts myself but my wife is from Kyushu and we had those points from last year that were banked that I was unaware of so she though we could take our and her family to the hot springs. I too don't think we would get a good exchange.

You can't do an exchange with banked Staroptions at all - you have to have home resort usage to deposit.
