Barbados in June-September?

Has anyone been to Barbados in June-September? Did the rain last most of the day or was it only part of a day? Are we CRAZY to think about going at that time?

Hi. Bear in mind that the hurricane season runs June to end of December. We have been there the end of July into Aug. It is very hot and humid. You will still get breezes, but mainly seaside. The sea will be quite warm and wherever there is a pool it will be like bath water. It's very hard to judge how much rain there will be. Depending if there is any type of tropical depression out at sea, how large it is will determine the amount of rain you will receive. When we were there I didn't think we had more rain but the rain was quite a bit heavier. It was definitely be much more humid. It's a chance you take and only you can make that decision.

We knew it was hurricane season and did expect the heat and humidity. We have a two bedroom at the Crane and always have fabulous ocean breezes but that's in the spring. We have Crane Points we'd like to use and even though we spend 4 weeks there in April, we always want more time.:) But don't want to spend every day in the rain. THANKS so much...sharing your experience was VERY helpful!
 
Not a problem. I'm sure it will be fine, and having been there before you'll have a good idea of what to do and where to go if you do get some rain.
 
We spent a week in July there several years ago and only had a tiny bit of rain. Never lost a day at the beach. It is hot and humid, but so is Baltimore in July. I would stay away from September as more likely to have rain then.

Hi,

We were at The Crane for 2 weeks from 1st Aug in 2007.

We had several very windy overcast days with lots of rain in a row due to a slow moving tropical storm nearby. As you will know the crane is in a breezy postion anyway, but these winds blew chairs and tables over! It was a pain as there is little to do when it was raining, but it didn't spoil our holiday.

When it was over the weather was ok, very hot and humid but those sea breezes were lovely! We did have tropical downpours most days but only for a short time and it didn't affect our enjoyment of staying there at all.

It's a wonderful place which we hope to go back to some day! You are very lucky to own there :wave:
