Avoiding "Private auction" sellers on eBay

Interesting...:ponder:...looks like we might have two ID's for the same seller/group. There's another thread asking about Timesharin on eBay. http://tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=232832 All these guys use "yourvacationservices" version 1,2, or 3. Timesharin has very little seller feedback (only a few month-old positive ratings, which we all know could never have closed so fast) vs scores of positive buyer ratings. He sold 37 timeshares since August 2nd, though!

Only one item for sale now, which looks just like a yourvacationservices2 ad - http://www.ebay.com/itm/SHERATON-VI...100-OPTIONS-/161814651826?hash=item25ace7a3b2

...
not sure about this one.

(Due to West Virginia guidelines on purchasing Real Estate; West Virginia Residents will not be able to participate in this Auction)

here something strange as well.. the above statement was posted on every auction they are doing.. it right up under the first picture on description area..

What does WV guidelines have to do with timeshare purchase and why are they not allow VW residents to buy from them???? very interesting i must say..

NOW more reason to be aware of this seller..

I asked this question here on TUG a while ago but don't remember getting a clear answer. I'll try to do a search to see if I can find the thread.

Here it is:

West Virginia HB enacted 2013

§36-9-3. Scope.
(b) All time-sharing accommodations or facilities which are located outside the state but offered for sale in this state shall be subject to all of the provisions of this article except sections eleven through sixteen and twenty through twenty-two.

(4)(A) The division may impose a civil penalty against any developer, exchange program, seller, managing entity, association or other person for a violation of this chapter. A penalty may be imposed on the basis of each day of continuing violation, but in no event shall the penalty for any offense exceed $10,000. All accounts collected shall be deposited with the treasurer to the credit of the West Virginia real estate time-sharing trust fund;
(B) If a developer, exchange program, seller or other person fails to pay the civil penalty, the division shall thereupon issue an order directing that such developer, exchange program, seller or other person cease and desist from further operation until such time as the civil penalty is paid; or the division may pursue enforcement of the penalty in a court of competent jurisdiction. If an association or managing entity fails to pay the civil penalty, the division shall thereupon pursue enforcement in a court of competent jurisdiction;

The reseller may have done something wrong and failed to pay the penalty. As a consequence they are not allowed to sell to anyone in West Virginia.

Is there a way to leave feedback on closings 4-6 months ?

I have had several closings on Ebay that take 4-6 months to close. I cannot leave feedback because Ebay apparently only allows feedback in a 60 day time frame. Has anybody out there figured a way to get around this ?

The only way around it is to leave some kind of comment within the 60 days. It can be positive or neutral saying something like- waiting on closing will update when complete. This should then allow you to go back in later and put in a one time update on your original comment.
