We got a FB message from DH's cousins in England a while ago with a beautiful photo of the Northern lights. Pinks, purples and greens. They are lucky and live at the edge of a small town with just farm fields behind them to the north and west.
DH & I are at a timeshare stay near Ottawa ON in a lakeside unit with a clear 180 degree view to the west across the lake. The clouds have mostly moved on and we are hoping to get a good view of the lights in a while.

I texted friends in W. PA and they are seeing it. I was just outside but see nothing, I live too far south though.

Here is a live feed from Quebec, but it is cloudy there.

Here is clearer sky in ND

too early still for Western US.

Well we have clear skies to the south but mostly cloudy to the north. I can see a bit of pink in between the breaks in the clouds and directly overhead in a clear area. It looks like we would have had a better show at home. Our neighbours just took this from their front porch.

Brewster Green (two weeks).
I've been considering going to Iceland in the winter to see the lights even though I don't like cold. Last night we had them in Charleston, SC, and I missed them. There is another chance tonight.

After 40+ years of T/S ownership, I am no longer "an owner"
The images from around the world (literally) have been amazing. For those who saw them, congrats! Here in Milwaukee we were under a thunderstorm early in the night, and with my big road trip starting this morning, I opted for sleep rather than sky gazing. Maybe we'll get an opportunity to see them tonight in Iowa.

How long is this event due to continue. Please have pity 😔 on me as I am Aruba.

Not due back north until next weekend.

Tonight around 10 pm for us in Central Washington should be another light show. Last night I saw something through the window. I went out on the deck and could see the a greenish cloud which then erupted into streaks of redish over greenish colors. The show lasted about 90 minutes. When I let Roxy out in the yard I saw the roof line of our house was glowing a light redish color which I caught on video. We had about 20 minutes where you could see the lights really good without a camera.

Even with the city lights to the north of us, the lights were very visible. This actually is something I have been wanting to see for years so I'm considering this a check on the bucket list.

Thanks for posting. We'll have to drive away from the city tonight and see what we can catch :)
My cousins who live in Omaha drove a little into Iowa to see it and posted pictures on Facebook last night. So beautiful.

No luck here, but we had fun. Where were you at midnight last night? We were in Herman, Nebraska! Maybe a pink haze to the horizon, maybe our imaginations :) We'll have to watch the NOAA map for another opportunity.

It was cool with the naked eye and spectacular through the camera.

It was bright enough on Friday to see it with with the eyes even with the city lights to the north of us. Last night we stayed up until 1:30 am but nothing. I'm giving it another try tonight. I'm really happy the Northern Lights came to us. I've been planning on going to see them since before Covid.

Friends went out into the desert last night and captured this image. This is outside of Mesquite, Nevada last night.
