Considering booking an exchange here during 'leaf peeper' season in Fall '22. What's the difference? The TUG reviews don't seem to separate them. Suites are RCI Gold Crown and standard rooms are unrated.

We are booked in the Village Oct 8 for a 1 bedroom. We booked a year ago for 16 TPU. Nothing available in the suites for this date.

I assume you are looking in RCI. There are three resort codes for this complex, all on the same site.
Suites at Attitash Mountain Village #7913
Attitash Mountain Village #0537
RiverRun Condominiums #5796

I usually stay in the Suites because I like their room layout, multiple floors and lots of space. I find them more private. I can't remember if I have stayed at AMV. I do recall a RiverRun stay, room was fine, but I found the building a bit more run down and could hear more noise from other guests in nearby rooms.

Typical New Hampshire resort, maybe a bit dated but always clean and comfy. Great location too, close enough to the hustle and bustle of North Conway, but further enough away to get the NH mountain feel.

It has been a while since I have been there because this grouping as a 1 in 4 rule and haven't offered Extra Vacations in years. So, they could have updated.

Leaf peeping (early October) are fairly hard to get. If you have the choice of both, take the Suites. Only have the choice of one, secure whatever you can.

Thanks. This is about what we expected. DW has never been to New England, so 'typical NE' is meaningless to her. My office was in Mass for several years, so this trip is about her. We'll make a run at booking a suite.

Yes, the Suites are really roomy. Much larger than the typical 1BR. The ones I've booked have had 2 baths, washer and dryer, 2 floors. Really nice. We have also booked in Attitash Mountain Village. Those units tend to be more of a gamble. They've all been fine, but definitely not as nice as the suites. I really miss the extra vacations at this resort. I like this area much more than right in North Conway. You'll be close, but so much quieter and far less traffic. If you can get in that time of year, go for it!

We’re going to Attitash Sunday, we have a 1 BR suite. I’ll post an impression once we get there.

Checked in earlier today in a 1 room suite, Jefferson Bldg D4. The unit is very spacious for a 1 BR. You could comfortably have 4 adults stay here. The downstairs has a full bathroom with jacuzzi, kitchen, dining area, Murphy bed and pull out couch.
The upstairs has a king bed, bathroom with standup shower and a large sitting area. The stairway to the upstairs is a long one, so if stairs are a problem that could be an issue. The checkin was easy. No sales pressure at all.
2 negatives were; dishes were left in the dishwasher and not put away. We ran the dishwasher again to be safe. Second is more specific skiers, there’s no dedicated area to store skis, boots etc. I put them in the coat closet near the entrance.
For a leaf peeping trip I think you’d be fine. Your close to Mt Washington, Crawford Notch and the Kancamagus Hwy.

Thanks, Jeff, I think it will do fine for our purposes. DW already talked to them about an accessible unit. They noted the request, but said there was no guarantee. We can deal with the stairs at bedtime and morning but wouldn't want to have to use them every time we went to the john. :)

Enjoy your trip! If all the 1BRs are set up the same at the Suites at Attitash, do know that the living area is on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building, so you will have a flight of stairs to get to your unit. The first floor is the studio section (which honestly is a decent unit for just 2 people too).

JeffC: I have never been in the winter, but I do recall when looking through the building that they have a locker room/ski storage on the ground or maybe basement level of the building. Same floor that had a table tennis set up.

Have you decided the dates for your trip?

I’ll second the idea of staying in the 1st level if you’re only 2. DW took one look at the stairs and pulled down the Murphy bed LOL. The unit we’re in is away from the main bldg, I have to drive over there to walk to the lift. I think the lockers are over there .

Do the one level studios have king beds?

the murphy bed is definitely a queen/full size. The sofa bed.....maybe, it is a pretty large couch. But, honestly I would think it would be the old style that you wouldn't want to sleep on.

JeffC - these resorts are not slope side, the Suites has 2 sections, one across the street from attitash that you walk thru an under the street tunnel to get to the mountain, the other is across the street on the mountain side. Which side are you in?

We’re on the mountain side. The upper level bed is a king here.
