ATM Withdrawal Malfunction

Yay, good to know how that works. I've worried about this when withdrawing money overseas. Fingers crossed, it hasn't happened yet.

Happy for you Beagle Mom! Now I can stop holding my breath. (I don't look good in blue.) LOL! XXOO

Ha ! Thanks ! I am hoping that others may know that there's hope if this happens to them. I was so distressed over the feeling of maybe not being believed - funny, that.

Take care, from another "JB".

Last comment ( I hope). Here's the message from my C.U.. Not so bad in this day & age.

Dear Jeanne,

Thank you for your reply.

My name is XXXX and I'm happy to assist you further. There were
several ATM/Visa network issues that were reported on Saturday February
8th and this may have caused the ATM to not work properly when you had
tried to withdraw the funds.

We understand how frustrating it can be
when network issues arise and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience
this caused you when trying to pay for work you had authorized.

I hope
this helps to answer your questions please let me know if I can be of
any further assistance in regard to your XXXCU accounts or our online
services.

Thank you for choosing XXCU Jeanne!

Sincerely,
XXXX

XXX XXXX Credit Union

Thanks for that follow-up, Beags.

It sure is different when one is an 'owner/member' of a credit union rather than just being one of bazillions who are simply viewed as rabble customers of 'big box bank'.

A very nice credit union just opened in the neighborhood, and we are going through the hassle of changing over from a bank. The place just 'feels' different.

To borrow from another thread: now If I can get them to issue chip/PIN cards....

Jim
