ATM machines Aruba

Travelling to Aruba end of March - wondering how available ATM machines are and if Canadian debit cards will work?? Usually just take cash and my visa. Do the machines give you US money or florins? Do not want to bother with the banks there.

I was there last year and used my Debit/ Credit card . U.S dollars were used in all the stores , but I didn't try the ATM . I did however withdraw U.S. dollars from an ATM in the Cayman islands last week .

I have not used ATMs in Aruba, but since the official currency of the country is the florin, it stands to reason that the currency you will receive is the florin. However, most establishments will accept U.S. dollars. We never exchange money when in Aruba. For small purchases we use dollars, and everyhing else goes on a credit card.

Don't know if your Canadian card will work (I'm guessing it will), but do know the ATMs do give you Florins.
