sjuhawk, ... Yes, good request now. Building 7 was renovated over the last 2 years. Close to the Atlantis shuttle bus stop and the main office. Longer walk, but not too long, to the pool, exercise room and the towel house where you pick up the wristbands for Atlantis.

The small 1-br in Phase I is pretty much the same as the small 1-br in Phase II.

But, why the Atlantis/Harborside question? Your TUG Profile says "Atlantisx5."

To get to the Marina shopping area and restaurants, the shortest way is using the walkway right along the Marina's docks and you pass right in front of Building 7.

Same view from Building 7 as along the walkway - just a little higher - the humongous yachts in the Marina, the Marina shopping area, the Casino and, farther away, the Royal Towers. ... eom

The dock area is now fenced off from Harborside, unlesss the gate is open by the pool building. From building 7, you have to walk along the road just like everyone else, or jump the fence.

I do not go to Atlantis that often, I mostly rent out my units.

Thanks for the info,

Sea Six, ... I was last at Harborside in February. There was always a fence. I used the walkway and I always used another way to get to the Marina shops. There were 2 gates to get down to the walkway. By the pool, between the Point restaurant and the hot tub - where the gate was mostly locked. And by the break between Building 1 and Building 7 - right by the back entrance to the reception area - where the gate always seemed to be unlocked.

You could walk down steps from that entrance and go past the Club Land'Or timeshare buildings and the yachts, exit the walkway at the Marina Office, and enter the Marina shopping and restaurant area. If you miss the Marina Office exit, there are no other exits from the walkway by the docks past that point, i.e. down by the Casino and Murray's Deli.

That way did save time getting to the Marina shops area - especially from Buildings 1 and 7. Sorry to hear it's no longer available. ... eom

I was sorry, too, as we chose to take that route one day and didn't expect to have to walk all the way to the end of the path by the pool building. It would hav been quicker to walk along the road, but the marina view is interesting. We happened to be there when Rick Hendricks' yacht was in port, and were wondering if Jeff Gordon or Jimmy Johnson were on board.

At HRA Last Week

We were first given 3rd floor, building 3. We were on the end with a view from the 1br Deluxe of the bridge employees parking lot, and a balcony view of the building right beside us. It was horrible, noisy (bridge and traffic). The Premium 1br side Hot tub was broken, lockout doors between the 2 units were broken and would not stay open without stuffing magazines under the door, and the icemaker leaked all night the first night into the fridge and soaked our groceries.

That being said, I made a call to the front desk and requested building 2 with a pool view in a 2br L/O. I received a call back in less than 10 minutes with a bldg 2 pool view and the unit was PERFECT.........we had a great week.

I would recommend building 2 after staying there.......very close walk to the lobby and shuttles, pool view, water view, cruise ships easily seen from your porch, etc......It was great!

Thanks, hope this helps
