Our out-of-state son left two messages on our cellphone but they did not go into the normal channels. They are recorded in Calls Received, but we can't seem to retrieve the actual messages and there was important info on them.

Any experts out there. They did not appear in the Recent Calls area.

TIA

Calls Received does not mean there was a message left. It just means someone called.

Our AT&T phones have always used the #1 button to retrieve messages.

Just press and hold a sec(just like speed dial) till it goes to the mailbox.

But Denise is right too, calls don't always have messages.

Good luck.:)

Our daughter-in-law said he had left two messages; maybe she was wrong. Thank you.

If they were voicemail messages then the phone has nothing to do with it. Just follow whatever procedure your carrier uses to listen to your voicemail.

Richard -- thanks but couldn't get the right answer. Kept putting me in email mode and I wanted to retrieve two phone messages.

Cathy,

The link I provided didn't take you to the page I wanted it too - it took you to the preceding page at the Nokia site. If you click on the link again and type in
"how to retreive voicemail" in the box toward the top "Type a question or describe what you are looking for below" you will get your answer on what to do to retrieve your voicemail, if you have any.

We finally took the phone back to Costco's cellphone desk. He couldn't figure out the problem - turned the phone off and back on and presto it is working just fine again.:) We had 7 messages waiting for us. Thank you all for your help.

Congrats!

I do find that sometimes I have to do the same thing or even take out the battery to "reboot" my phone. :(
