Could the bed have been triple-sheeted with a top sheet both on top of and below the blanket? That's how they do it at WKORV.

Yes, it was. The important point of my post was that their maid service did not know how to make the bed with their sheets. When the rough blanket is on the bottom you know there's a problem. :crash:

Did they give you extra dishwasher soap. I got 2 for a one bedroom. I requested more but I was told to buy them at the store

Oh yes. When I told them of the problem, they were on their way over to vacuum the sand out of the dryer so I told them to bring more - I really didn't give them a choice. They brought two more, which was helpful. Of course, they should have offered to come over and clean all the dishes for me! :annoyed:

I've encountered similar issues with the kitchen at WKORV too. A few times the counters have not been wiped down. You can't really tell by looking at the granite, but when I ran my hand over it there were crumbs and it was sticky. Another times it was obvious that something had spilled on the cabinet doors but they had not been cleaned. They are also supposed to wash the dishes in the dishwasher, but I don't think they always do. It appears that if the dishes are put away by the previous guest, they don't actually check them. Sometimes they also forget to clean the lanai.

I have really enjoyed all my stays at WKORV, but almost every time there has been at least one housekeeping issue along the lines described in this thread. Aside from housekeeping I haven't had any other complaints. I usually just clean up myself because it is easier than waiting for someone to take care of things. However, I do make it a point to let the front desk and housekeeping managers know, because this should not be happening.
