My sister owns a timshare(paid in full, up to date on maintenance fees)in Aruba(I don't know which one).
She wants get rid of it. Would she be able to. She told me she doesn't want to deal with ebay.

It depends on which one. Some are easy to get rid of (Marriott) and I am sure others are more difficult.

Isn’t that in Freeport, Bahamas, not Aruba?

I don’t know where it is but we have been going to Aruba since 1987, owned at Marriott Ocean Club since 1999 and I have never heard of that property

This is a common problem with many people who own timeshares and want out. They simply don't know or understand what it is that they own. How are they supposed to pass on information to a potential buyer when they have no clue about it themselves?

If it is a no name timeshare in Aruba, it probably has little value unless it is a Feb or March week. If in Freeport, it probably has no value. Both may be hard to get rid of. Best place to start is posting it in the Free Timeshare Giveaways and Bargain Deals forum.

Island Seas is in Freeport Bahamas, and it will be hard to get rid of even if you give it away for nothing. In order to find someone that maybe interested in taking it off your sister's hands so will probably have to pay the transfer fee and 2023 maintenance fees. Good luck they are awful to deal with.

I told her that her TS is in Bahamas and that getting rid of if will cost them.

But according to her, they can give it back after owning it for 10 years because they in paid cash.
My brother in-law insisted that that was put in the contract before they forked over the money and it was.
In all my time owning TS I have never heard of this.

Then it seems that they didn't need your help at all?

I guess she didn't think about her easy out.
I have NO idea why her mind works the way it does. But I did ask like she wanted and you guys were helpful. Thanks.
