When an owner or exchanger user their unit, the Surf Club charges, if I recall correctly, $8.50 per day for the 2 bedroom, $6.50 per day for the lock off and $7.50 for the one bedroom. Can someone tell me what the Surf Club now charges (I'm interested in the 2 bedroom charge) and what that fee is called? Thanks.

Ingrid

Just a guess: Occupancy TAX!

Property tax is paid as part of the annual fees. Occupancy taxes are assessed to whomever is staying there.

Could be...it's the only tax I've ever paid when occupying or exchanging into any Marriott or other TS. So, I don't remember what it is or how much, except that it was immaterial.

That's what it is. I know I had to pay a similar tax at Ko'Olina; I am not sure if there are occupancy taxes elsewhere. At least it is far less than hotel taxes.

Ingrid I'm 99.9% positive I was charged $7.50 per day last summer 2008 for my 2 bedroom at the Surf Club. I did exchange in through Interval as an owner (if that matters) What the charge is called called I don't recall but the word "tax" is certainly included in the verbiage. Hope it's somewhat helpful.
