Does the studio side of the 3BR lock off now have a king bed? I seem to recall from many years ago that these rooms were larger but only had a queen bed. Am I wrong in that recollection? Did they switch the beds out for a king at some point?

According to the MVC app- Aruba Surf club 3 BR-

Bedroom 1: 1 King bed
Bedroom 2: 2 Double beds
Bedroom 3: 1 King bed, 1 sofa bed
Sofa bed

If you look for studio it says Queen or king- which seems like it’s the studio of the 2Br or 3BR unit respectively.
So lock off of 3BR has a king.

Edit- realizing now that you probably know all this!
No need to delete this, it was information I was looking for but perhaps too lazy to look on the app or Marriott.com myself. I am pretty sure the studio of the 2BR has a king as we stayed in a 2BR in 2023 and it was definitely a king in both rooms. This seems to be conflicting because there are no dedicated units at the Surf Club.

I have stayed in this studio. Much bigger than usual with a different configuration.
The balcony faces the island ( away from the water) but on New Years Eve it was great!

Did it have a king or a queen size bed?

This was 15 years ago but at the time we owned a 2BR. The 2BR studio had a queen ( since changed) so we noticed the difference that 3BR lock off had a king.

Ah, so perhaps I had it backward. Previously the 2BR studio had a queen and the 3BR studio had a king? I thought it was the other way around.

We purchased pre construction 2002 so when the buildings opened in 2004/05 they were queen ( which annoyed us)
I really have not been keeping up as I sold my unit.

The App would suggest that the studio of the 3 BR has a king
Studio on a 2 BR has a queen.

It says possibility in a studio is a queen or a king
And for a studio it is a king in the primary and either a queen and sofabed or 2 doubles in the 2nd br.

I’ve been looking for someplace to send my adult child and a friend to use up some points so I’ve been paying attention to bed configurations.

@dioxide45 I had a similar question regarding king or queen beds int the guest studio. I called thr resort last week direct and was told all 3br guest studios have King beds.

All 2br guest studio have queen beds.

Oh wow. I am rather embarrassed now. I just went and watched the 2BR room tour video I posted from the Surf Club after we were there in 2023. It was indeed a queen in the studio. Not sure why I didn't remember this.

Forgiven! But you obviously travel too much (haha)!

We own both and the 2 BR has a Queen in the studio and the 3 BR a king. The studio of the 3 BR is almost double the size. The sofa bed is also a Queen like the LR
